AUDIOMOVES AT THE ZOO
In association with London and Whipsnade Zoos, we as Peut-être Theatre have created a brand new series of our podcast, Audiomoves exploring how animals move, eat, sleep and play. It's been such an incredible process and such an amazing thing to have been a part of! Watch the video to find out more!

NEW ALBUM - OUT NOW!
After over a year of having to focus on our somewhat uncompromising human affairs, I found myself taking solace in celebrating nature; specifically animals. This evolved into an incredible songwriting adventure I've called 'Animal Box'.
'Animal Box' is an album of songs, each of which celebrates the beauty and absurdity of different animals from around the world through various musical genres.
ā
It's been an amazing journey and I am so excited to release the first volume!

‘A brilliantly eccentric album! From the thought provoking musical theatre recitative of ‘Dinosaur Fossil’ to the bonkers Zappa-esque Pop Bellied Pig and …We’re Llamas, Charlie’s luscious vocals consistently shine throughout this joyous lucky dip animal box of styles, genres and moods. Where will he take us next?’

UPCOMING SHOWS
'A Light in the Backwoods', ROBIN HOWARD THEATRE, LONDON, 13th FEBRUARY 2019
‘A Light in the Backwoods’ is an intimate solo that tenderly invites us into the life of a hermit. It follows a single character who lives alone and begins to be taunted by memories and
characters from his past.
He navigates his way through landscapes, dreams and visions
whilst an array of soundscapes and musical compositions develop on stage. Eventually he must question the cost of his chosen life.

review
'Charlie Hendren opened the show and his folk sound was well suited to the small venue. With just an acoustic guitar for melody and percussion we got to find out a little about the inspiration and development of the songs. Opening with a song inspired by a dream this was followed by “Lovers’ Trust”, unsurprisingly a love song. Charlie included a song dedicated to the queen of Camden, Amy Winehouse, who had also played the venue. His closing song, “The Smallest Device”, was a political song dedicated to a certain world leader…'
